Gordon Gibbs, suffers from schizophrenia and dementia, was a voluntary patient at the Greater Niagara General hospital, where he was last seen on Wednesday around 11:15 a.m.
Within a short time of his disappearance, members of the public contacted police about a male matching Gibbs’ description in the area of Drummond Road and Morrison Street. Police checked the area but were unsuccessful in locating him.
At the time of his disappearance, Gibbs was wearing pajama bottoms, a hospital gown, a black vinyl jacket and a hospital bracelet.
Gibbs is described as approximately five-foot, six-inches to five-foot, nine-inches tall, about 140 pounds with a skinny build. He has hazel eyes, short white hair and a white beard. Gibbs has no teeth or dentures.
